Bow-wow Battle launched into Early Access on May 1, 2026, and developer M.Katsu has maintained a very active update cadence since day one. Three major content updates have shipped in the four months since launch: on June 5, 2026, a brand-new "Bark Shooting" side-scrolling shooter mode was added along with a new boss (Robot Dog), a new Dog Road stage, and the Doberman breed; on June 13, 2026, a full Ranked Match system arrived alongside an 11-tier title progression system and 7 Steam achievements; and on August 30, 2026, the v0.4.0 update gave all 16 dog breeds unique stats and passive abilities, with a note that online support for these features is planned for the next update. In addition to those major drops, multiple feature patches have added voice chat, post-battle stamps, new dog breeds, an expanded encyclopedia, and new stages, while bug-fix patches have addressed critical matchmaking and microphone issues. The August 30, 2026 update explicitly states that online support for dog stats and abilities is "planned for the next update," confirming active development is continuing. The game remains in Early Access with no 1.0 release date announced.

Both voice volume and bark count move the gauge. Screaming alone won't cut it — clear, distinct barks are the key to victory.

8 stages of boss battles! From Park Puppy to Legendary Dog, defeat them all to become the ultimate dog. Clear each stage to unlock new breeds. Beat the final boss to earn the title "Dog Road Master"!

Waves of crabs are attacking! Blow them away with your voice! 5 types of item drops to help you survive longer. Aim for the highest score!
