Boxman's Struggle launched on February 27, 2020, and received a feature update (v1.1) on December 4, 2020 that added new content including a secret ending and achievements. Then on November 8, 2024, the developer announced a second map — described as a new, tougher route to the top of the mountain with "something special at the top." The announcement was teased with playful language but gave no release date or timeline.
Since that November 8, 2024 announcement, there have been no further posts or updates from the developer. As of June 25, 2026, more than 18 months have passed with no follow-up on the promised second map and no developer communication of any kind. This makes it unclear whether development of the second map is still actively proceeding or has stalled.
