Brighter Shores is an Early Access MMORPG from Fen Research Ltd, launched November 6, 2024. The game continues to receive a rapid and sustained stream of updates throughout 2026, with no signs of slowing down.
The developer is actively executing their "Project Milestone Phase 3" roadmap published on February 17, 2026, which covers bounties rolling out profession-by-profession, world events, dungeons, and cosmetics. Since that roadmap, major content has shipped consistently: the Fractured Reality Quest (May 6), the Rags to Riches Quest (June 1), Botanist Bounties (July 27), and the Himatik Treasure Quest (August 11, 2026).
As of September 15, 2026 — today — the developer shipped the first of a multi-part combat improvement series. The post explicitly states "this is only the first combat update" and that "skill trees and special attacks will be incrementally added in later updates," confirming substantial planned content beyond what has already shipped. The same update also launched a tutorial for the Shipwreck world event, with the full world event announced for the following week (around September 22, 2026).
The development team is communicating frequently, shipping updates at a consistent pace of approximately every two to four weeks, and has publicly committed to multiple named future features. The game remains firmly in active development with a full pipeline of announced content ahead.

As the newest recruit in the Hopeport town guard, you are looking to make a name for yourself. This soon turns out to be a more challenging role than you had anticipated, with a strange storm raging over the harbor and unrest from the local goblins.
You will discover powerful magic sources and become one of the legendary classes of old: Cryoknight, Guardian or Hammermage. Which is fortunate, because something is corrupting the deepest reaches of the nearby Hopeforest, and only through the strength of your new-found powers will you be able to deal with it.
