Burnin' Rubber 5 HD launched on February 14, 2018 as a full HD remaster of the browser-based original. Xform shipped a handful of bug-fix patches in the days immediately following launch (the last notable one being version 1.0.4 on February 19, 2018), and that was the end of post-launch development activity for this title. There are no DLC listings, no roadmap promises, and no developer statements suggesting further content was ever planned for BR5 HD specifically.
The most significant post-launch communication came on October 24, 2024, when Xform announced Burnin' Rubber 6 as an entirely separate sequel targeting a 2025 release. This announcement makes clear that the studio has moved on to its next game rather than continuing to develop BR5 HD. The launch post from February 2018 itself hinted at this direction, with the developers expressing hope to "start a whole new game in the near future."
With no unreleased DLC, no outstanding content commitments, and the developer's focus having shifted entirely to the sequel, Burnin' Rubber 5 HD is a complete, finished product. The content became final with the last bug-fix patch on February 19, 2018.

The Burnin' Rubber games have been online since 2007 with over hundreds of millions of plays. At Xform we greatly enjoy developing new entries. Iterating upon the previous one and trying to get even more action and explosions in the new one.
Since the games were originally developed for online play we always had to cut and tone down our content. Also, browsers are now phasing out the plugins that are required to play our awesome games! The released version was never the same as our 'development' version, but NOT for much longer. We would like to introduce you to the full HD remaster of Burnin' Rubber 5!
