Evaluation

PAKO 2 launched on November 16, 2017 and received consistent post-launch content updates over several years. Major additions after release included the Magpie Island map and three vehicles (June 7, 2018), a third-person chase camera mode (June 22, 2018), and most recently the Suburbia map along with Linux/64-bit Mac support and additional cars (June 25, 2024). That June 2024 update appears to be the final content release for the game. On February 17, 2025, the developer announced that PAKO 4 is now in active development — explicitly framing it as "the next version and the true evolution of the PAKO series" and directing players to wishlist the new title. This announcement signals that the studio's focus has shifted to the next game in the series. No further updates or content announcements have been made for PAKO 2 since that post, and no unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The only DLC — the official soundtrack — shipped on December 7, 2017. PAKO 2 appears to be a complete, finished product. The developer has moved on to PAKO 4, and the June 2024 Suburbia update marks the end of meaningful content additions to this game.
Evidence
Developer announced PAKO 4 is in active development, describing it as 'the next version and true evolution of the PAKO series' and directing the PAKO 2 community to wishlist the new title — signaling a shift in studio focus away from PAKO 2.
