Button Tales launched on December 22, 2016 as a complete Match 3 game with 100+ levels. The developer released an original soundtrack DLC on January 4, 2017, and then shipped a second content expansion — Button Tales: Way Home — on July 4, 2019. A small bug-fix patch followed on August 9, 2019. That August 2019 patch is the last communication from the developer. With only one major content release across the game's lifetime, there is no pattern suggesting further updates are coming. All DLC listed on the store has been released, and the developer has made no announcements of additional content. The game appears to be a finished product with its content complete as of the Way Home DLC launch on July 4, 2019.
