Cave Quest is a complete Match3 adventure game that launched on January 12, 2020. The developer (MD Studio) made a handful of post-launch improvements: a bug-fix patch on July 28, 2022 that also added a cross-promotion for a new game in the series, two language additions (Chinese and Korean) in August 2022, and Mac support in October 2022. The announcement on September 9, 2022 confirmed that Cave Quest 3 is in development as a separate product, not additional content for this game. The last developer communication of any kind was on October 11, 2022, and no updates, patches, roadmaps, or DLC have been announced since. There is no unreleased DLC on the store, no season pass, and no developer statement indicating further content is planned for Cave Quest. The game appears to have launched as a self-contained product and received only maintenance and quality-of-life improvements before the developer moved on to the next entry in the series.
