Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land has been removed from sale and can no longer be purchased. The developer, Red Wasp Design Ltd, announced on February 27, 2015 that they had ceased ongoing development, describing the game as "sold as seen" with no further updates planned. Then on September 28, 2018, Red Wasp posted a farewell message confirming the studio was shutting down and that the game would no longer be available going forward. The team directed players to their new project, Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics, and explicitly stated it was no longer feasible to keep the game live. The store listing confirms no purchase options are currently available, consistent with the developer's announced intention to delist it.

Returning to the horror from Lovecraft's original 'Reanimator' set during the dark days of WW1, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land draws the player into a nightmare world where the terror of mustard gas and trench warfare are but a foretaste of what is to follow.
