Call of the Sea

Call of the Sea launched on December 8, 2020 as a complete, self-contained narrative puzzle adventure. Both DLC items released on launch day are a soundtrack and an art book — supplementary content, not story expansions. The game received several patches in the months following launch (bug fixes, accessibility improvements, and quality-of-life features), but no additional story content or expansions were ever added to the base game. The studio has since moved on to other projects: American Arcadia launched in November 2023, and a new game called The Vigilante Diaries was announced in April 2024. A sequel, Call of the Elder Gods, was released in 2025, and in May 2026 a bundle combining both games was made available on Steam. In September 2025, Call of the Sea received a Nintendo Switch port — a platform release rather than new content. None of these developments represent additional content for the original Call of the Sea experience. Out of the Blue has not announced any expansions, updates, or additional story content for the game at any point. The original game shipped as a finished product and remains complete as originally released.
