Cardinal Cross graduated from Early Access to its full 1.0 release on July 9, 2018, completing all 12 chapters of the story. On July 10, 2018, the developer posted a "Full Release and Beyond!" update explicitly stating that "the game is completed and out." The developer noted that a DLC or continuation was "not in the close future plans," and that post-launch activity would focus on quality-of-life improvements such as translations. No further content has been announced since that post, and no additional news posts have appeared beyond the launch period. The game shipped as a complete, self-contained visual novel with its full story, multiple endings, and all planned features intact.
