Carrier Battles 4 Guadalcanal launched on June 5, 2020 and has maintained a consistent pattern of paid DLC and major content releases ever since. The developer has shipped seven DLC expansions over five years: Seaplanes (December 2020), Operation FS (July 2021), Submarines (March 2022), Indian Ocean Raid (June 2023), Into the Wind & Ceylon (June 2024), Hailstone 44 (January 2025), Philippine Sea & Pilots (December 5, 2025), and most recently the Leyte Gulf DLC on July 15, 2026 — just one day before today's date. This establishes an unbroken multi-year cadence of major content roughly every 6-12 months, with no signs of slowing. In November 2023, the developer also posted an explicit statement of ongoing commitment, describing the game as "passionately followed and improved." The developer has never announced that development is complete or that no further content is planned.
