Cat Simulator entered Steam Early Access on February 12, 2016. The developer posted a small flurry of communications during launch week (February 12–14, 2016), including statements that the game was unfinished, contained bugs, and that players should only purchase it to support ongoing development. That launch week was the last time the developer communicated publicly. There have been no updates, patch notes, roadmap posts, or developer communications of any kind since February 14, 2016 — more than ten years ago. The game remains listed on Steam as an Early Access title with no indication it has ever progressed toward a 1.0 release. With over a decade of complete silence and no stated completion plan, there is no way to confirm development is still ongoing.
