LAN Party entered Steam Early Access on June 19, 2025 and has been receiving substantial updates ever since. The developer has shipped six major content updates since launch: VRM avatar support (June 30, 2025), co-op room design (July 19, 2025), optimization and usability improvements (September 22, 2025), a major codebase refactor with room templates and dynamic asset creation (February 13, 2026), image-to-model generation (April 17, 2026), and the Summer Mega-Update Part 1 (July 9, 2026). This establishes a consistent and accelerating cadence of major feature releases throughout the game's Early Access period. The July 9, 2026 update — the most recent and largest to date — explicitly previews an imminent Summer Mega-Update Part 2, listing specific features already in final testing: a room jukebox system, interior walls with doorways and windows, a new multiplayer database system, a faster asset importing system, and the ability to make rooms publicly accessible. The developer states Part 2 will release "very shortly." The developer also continues to reference planned features such as controller support, automatic avatar rigging, a revamped text chat system, and more minigames. The studio has stated that premium subscription revenue is funding continued development and potential additional hires. There is no indication of a 1.0 release timeline or any slowdown in activity.
