Evaluation

Catch a Falling Star launched on March 30, 2016 as a self-contained casual game. In the weeks following launch, the developer shipped a series of updates: achievements were added on April 1, 2016, followed by a hotfix the next day, a feature update (version 0.90) on April 29, 2016 adding new mechanics like the Bubble Shield and Music Jukebox, and finally version 1.0 on June 9, 2016, which added two new themes and quality-of-life improvements. That June 2016 update was framed as the game's "1.0" milestone and represented the completion of the post-launch content work. No updates of any kind have been posted since then — the last developer communication was on June 9, 2016. The only post after that date was an April 2017 announcement promoting a completely separate game (Sol Ni Koro), which has no bearing on this game's content status. The store description describes a fully self-contained feature set with no mention of planned additions, seasons, or ongoing content. The game launched and was polished to a finished state; no further content has been announced or is pending.
