Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered is explicitly described as "the definitive edition" of the original Catlateral Damage both in its store description and in pre-release announcements. It launched on September 15, 2021 as a ground-up rebuild of the original game. After launch, the developer released a series of patches. The one-year anniversary update on September 15, 2022 added two new playable cats (Oreo and Pandora), Steam Trading Cards, and Points Shop items. A second-anniversary patch on September 14, 2023 brought additional quality-of-life fixes and minor additions such as achievement descriptions and improved controller support. That September 2023 patch is the last developer communication on record. There are no unreleased DLC entries — the only DLC is the official soundtrack, which released on September 30, 2021. The developer has not posted any updates since September 14, 2023, and the game's post-launch activity consists of maintenance and anniversary patches rather than a sustained major-content release cycle.
