Cave Digger VR

Cave Digger VR launched on May 9, 2018 and received a healthy stream of post-launch content updates, culminating in the Riches DLC (August 30, 2018), a Halloween special update (October 17, 2018), a major train/free-roam expansion (September 19, 2019), and a new ending with the MagnetoGun (December 13, 2019). The base game and Riches DLC were later merged into one package on the store, which is reflected in the current store description ("Cave Digger VR is now combined with the Riches DLC content"). On June 15, 2021, the developer explicitly announced that Cave Digger VR had received its final patch, stating: "This is the end of Cave Digger updates as we know it." The studio's focus has fully shifted to Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder, which entered Early Access in early 2022. A 6th anniversary discount post on May 6, 2024 was purely promotional with no indication of any new content for this game. The game is complete as a finished, self-contained package. All content — base game and Riches DLC — is bundled together, and the developer has clearly and explicitly closed out development.
