Caveman Craig

Caveman Craig launched on Steam on August 28, 2015. After release, the developer (Parabox — a two-brother team) shipped a handful of patches and feature updates, the last of which was the "Discovery Update" (v1.2) on March 10, 2016, adding achievements and minor tweaks. No further content updates followed. On September 2, 2025, the team posted a 10th anniversary reflection — their first communication in nearly a decade. The post is candid and retrospective: all three contributors (the two brothers and the composer) describe the game fondly as something they made in their youth, now long behind them. Tim, the co-creator and animator, explains that both he and his brother Rhys have "real jobs and responsibilities," that he's been pursuing a professional animation career (Disney, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks), and that raising a family leaves no room for new game development. Rhys notes he now spends spare time on music and other games, and while he says he and Tim still "spitball ideas for games regularly," there is no mention of any planned updates, DLC, or future content for Caveman Craig itself. The post reads unambiguously as a farewell reflection, not a return-to-development announcement. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no outstanding developer commitments. The game shipped as a complete product and received its final update in March 2016. The 10th anniversary post confirms the team has moved on.
