Caveman World: Mountains of Unga Boonga

Caveman World: Mountains of Unga Boonga launched on April 26, 2016 as a complete retro-style 2.5D platformer with 27 levels across multiple episodes. Following launch, the developer released a series of updates through late 2016: Update 1.1 (April 28, 2016) addressed player speed and controller configuration; Update 1.2 (April 29, 2016) made jump adjustments; Update 1.3 (May 5, 2016) added geysers and tweaked gameplay; Mac and Linux support arrived on July 7, 2016; Update 1.4 (September 2, 2016) added 14 achievements and a camera improvement; Update 1.5 (September 3, 2016) added Steam Leaderboards; and the final post on October 28, 2016 confirmed the addition of Steam Trading Cards. There have been no developer communications of any kind since October 28, 2016 — nearly a decade of silence. The game shipped as a self-contained experience with no DLC, no season pass, no roadmap for future content, and no announcements of additional episodes or expansions. All post-launch updates were polish and feature additions to the existing game, not new content expansions. The developer's last communication effectively rounded out the platform feature set (achievements, leaderboards, trading cards), which is a natural stopping point for a completed indie title.
