Chariot launched on November 12, 2014 as a complete physics-based co-op platformer with 25 levels. The developer released one paid DLC — the Royal Gadget Pack — on November 23, 2015, which added a new playable character, five gadgets, and ten achievements. That same day, a free update added Philips Hue lighting support, Japanese localization, and various fixes. Both the DLC and the update closed with "Thank you for playing Chariot!" — a clear sign-off tone. No further content has been announced or released since November 23, 2015, and all DLC listed on the store is marked as released. The developer has made no communications about future updates or additional content. The game appears to have launched as a complete product and received one content expansion before development concluded.

Chariot is a couch co-op platformer that can be played alone or with a friend. Players take the role of the brave Princess or her faithful Fiancé as they maneuver the departed king's coffin-on-wheels through 25 levels set in 5 vibrant underground environments, with his majesty's ghost giving them a piece of his mind every step of the way. Filled to the brim with emergent physics-based gameplay, Chariot offers hours of exciting exploration, fast-paced ride sequences and mountains upon mountains of loot!
