Cheese Game

Cheese Game is a free-to-play boss rush game that released on May 30, 2022. After launch, the developer shipped two feature updates in mid-2022: the Sweaty Gamer Update on July 18, 2022 (adding Hard Mode and achievements) and a Quality of Life Update on August 4, 2022 (gameplay tweaks and UI improvements). A bug fix patch also went out on June 2, 2022 shortly after launch. The last update of any kind was on August 4, 2022. The store description mentions "more to come" in reference to additional bosses beyond the three currently in the game, suggesting additional content was once planned. However, the developer's most recent official statement — a development status post from January 17, 2023 — makes clear that their focus has moved on. In that post, the developer says they will be "continuing to make more games in the very near future," referencing a potential Cheese Game 2 or entirely new projects, and promotes their new YouTube channel for following future work. There is no mention of returning to update Cheese Game itself. The earlier July 2022 announcement about Cheese Game 2 was written in a humorous, self-deprecating tone and appears to be a joke rather than a genuine development commitment. There have been no developer communications of any kind since January 17, 2023 — over three years ago — and no DLC or further content has been listed. The developer has clearly moved on to new projects. The game appears to have shipped as a complete (if small) product, with its last meaningful content update arriving on August 4, 2022.
