DogeFight launched on April 26, 2022 as a free-to-play multiplayer brawler. In the months following launch, the developer (IROX) was fairly active, shipping a series of feature updates and two notable major content releases: a new map (Eggdog Temple) on May 4, 2022, and the substantial "Rebirth Update" on September 30, 2022, which overhauled the interface, added new maps, new playable characters, and significant gameplay improvements. A few smaller feature patches followed into early 2023, with the last recorded developer communication being the 0.55 update on January 29, 2023. That post hinted at future customization features ("in the future you will be able to customize your characters"), but no such update was ever delivered, and the developer has posted nothing since that date. The two major content drops were separated by roughly five months, but since January 29, 2023 — over three years ago — there have been no further updates, patches, or announcements of any kind. The gap far exceeds the historical release pattern, and the teased customization feature was never followed up on. The game appears to have reached the end of its active development, with January 29, 2023 marking the last known update.
