Cherry VX

Cherry VX launched on July 27, 2020 and received a steady run of major updates through its early years: Major Update 1 (September 14, 2020), Major Update 2 (March 21, 2021), Major Update 3 (June 24, 2021), Major Update 4 (November 24, 2021), and Major Update 5 (June 23, 2022). These updates shipped roughly every 3–8 months, constituting an active post-launch content phase. A feature patch followed in June 2023 (Summer Update 5a), but this was a backend and interaction rework rather than a named major content release. The most recent developer communication was a security-only patch on October 6, 2025, addressing a Unity engine vulnerability — a maintenance update with no content additions. Since the Summer Update 5a in June 2023, no major content release has occurred. The store description mentions "new models in the pipeline," but this language appears to have been present since at least the Major Update 5 era in June 2022 and has not been accompanied by any announcement or roadmap post in the subsequent three-plus years. Given the historical cadence of roughly 3–8 months between major updates, the silence since June 2023 — now extending to approximately three years — strongly indicates the active content development phase has concluded. The October 2025 security patch confirms the developer is still maintaining the product at a technical level, but there are no signals of further content being actively developed or planned.
