Chicken Journey

Chicken Journey launched on August 22, 2023 as a complete puzzle platformer. In the months following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches adding localizations, accessibility features, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements. The most substantial post-launch update was Update 1.1 on January 16, 2024, which added achievements, Steam trading cards, control rebinding, and rich presence — a community-focused release that rounded out the game's feature set. Since January 2024, developer activity has slowed significantly. A language addition was announced on July 29, 2024, and a minor bug fix patch was released on March 7, 2025 — the most recent communication from the developer. There are no unreleased DLC entries (the only DLC, a soundtrack, shipped on September 11, 2023), no roadmap, and no announcements of future content for Chicken Journey. Notably, on June 12, 2024 the developer announced an entirely new game — Mushroom Picnic Party — signaling that the studio's creative focus has shifted to a new project. No future content for Chicken Journey has been communicated. The game appears to have launched as a complete experience and has been fully supported through its post-launch patch period.
