Choo Choo Survivor

Choo Choo Survivor launched on June 26, 2023 and received a solid run of post-launch content updates. Three major updates shipped after launch: the Relics update (July 22, 2023), the Army of the Dead level with new locomotives (October 8, 2023), and the Choo Choo of the Dead update with more locomotives, a new level, and a laser weapon (April 13, 2024). This established a cadence of roughly 3–6 months between major content drops. However, from April 2024 onward, the developer's attention visibly shifted. Starting in January 2025, GTGD began posting regular development updates for a sequel — Choo Choo Survivor 2 — announcing it formally in January 2025, opening a beta in March 2025, and launching it on October 27, 2025. The May 2026 post announces yet another new game (Star Journey), with no mention of any further content for the original Choo Choo Survivor. The last major content update for Choo Choo Survivor was April 13, 2024, and there have been no feature patches, announcements, or developer communications about new content for this game since then — over 14 months of silence on Choo Choo Survivor specifically, while the developer has clearly moved on to the sequel and beyond. No unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, no roadmap or future content has been announced for this title, and the sequel's launch effectively marks the end of active development on the original. The game launched as a complete, self-contained product and received meaningful post-launch expansions before the developer moved on.
