Evaluation
Chronos Builder launched on December 5, 2022 and has received a steady stream of major content updates from Mistwall Studio: the Wishing Well DLC (September 2023), which brought Norse assets and a multi-level grid system, and most recently the Western Setting update (June 4, 2024), which added over 100 new assets across Saloon and Township environments.
In that June 4, 2024 post, the developer explicitly stated they are "working very hard to bring you the remaining content from our Stretch Goals" and teased a hint of what was coming next — meaning there are still undelivered commitments from the Wishing Well Kickstarter campaign's stretch goals. No subsequent update, announcement, or statement has followed.
As of September 24, 2026, it has been over 15 months since that last post — the longest gap in the game's history by a wide margin, and far beyond the 3-to-9 month cadence Mistwall maintained throughout 2023 and early 2024. The developer has not explained the delay, announced a cancellation, or indicated any change in plans. The promised stretch goal content has not visibly shipped, and no further DLC has appeared on the store.
This leaves the game in an uncertain position: additional content was explicitly promised and has not arrived, and the developer has gone quiet for an extended period without explanation.
Evidence
Western Setting (Update 2.1.0) shipped with 100+ assets. Developer acknowledged internal issues but said work is continuing, explicitly stating they are working on 'remaining content from our Stretch Goals' and showing a teaser of upcoming content.
Last developer communication of any kind. No posts, patches, or announcements have followed in the 15+ months since this date.
