Chupa Chupa VR launched on August 14, 2020 and received a burst of updates in its first two weeks — version 1.1 on August 16, version 1.2 on August 19, and version 1.3 on August 25. The game's two DLC packs both shipped shortly around launch: the Dress-up pack on July 31, 2020, and the Boy pack on August 29, 2020, the latter arriving alongside the Ver2.0 update that added BGM selection and character switching. Both DLC are released with no unreleased entries remaining on the store. After that August 29, 2020 content release, developer activity dropped to pure maintenance: a Unity security patch was applied on October 8, 2025, with no new content announcements in the intervening five years. The developer has not announced any additional content, roadmap, or future plans. The game shipped as a focused, self-contained VR experience and its content appears to have been complete as of the Ver2.0 update and Boy pack release on August 29, 2020.
