Cinderella Escape! R12 launched on November 16, 2015 as a self-contained 3D action puzzle game. Its only DLC — a soundtrack — was released on December 9, 2015, and no additional DLC has been listed since. In a December 1, 2015 developer post, Hajime Doujin Circle was candid about their situation: they lacked sufficient funds to continue developing or meaningfully improving the game beyond bug fixes and cosmetic additions, and framed the game as a completed effort while expressing hope for a "next time." Subsequent updates were limited to a controller support patch in December 2015 and a Steam Cloud addition in October 2018 — both maintenance-level changes, not new content. The developer's two most recent posts (July and September 2021) were announcements for a completely separate game, No!Ah!'s Ark, with no mention of any new content planned for Cinderella Escape. There is no ongoing content cycle, no unshipped DLC, and no developer statement suggesting further updates are coming. The game launched as a complete product and has received only maintenance patches since then.

Story
Once upon a time, there was an unlucky girl named Cinderella. She's beautiful and kind.
However, her stepmother didn't like her one little bit and treated her as a slave.
One day a letter of invitation was arrived.
Telling that a ball was to be held at the palace and the Prince would choose a girl to become his wife.
She made every effort to get rid of all troubles to go to the ball.
Unfortunately, it happened that she saw the King was murdered by the Prince.
The Prince claimed that Cinderella killed the King and try to framed her up.
Finally, Cinderella was arrested and locked in the dungeon...
