Evaluation

White Day: A Labyrinth Named School launched on August 22, 2017 as a complete remake of the 2001 Korean survival horror classic. All 41 DLC items — exclusively cosmetic costume packs for the game's characters — were released across three waves: the majority on launch day (August 22, 2017), a few on August 24 and November 23, 2017, and the final batch (Christmas costumes) on December 21, 2017. No DLC has been released since that date, and no unreleased DLC items appear in the store listing. The developer's news activity on this game's Steam page has shifted focus to the broader White Day franchise. A February 19, 2024 post announced the launch of White Day 2: The Flower That Tells Lies - Complete Edition (a separate game), along with a permanent bundle discount for owners of this title. A 2020 post announced White Day VR: The Courage Test, another standalone spin-off. Neither of these communications announces new content for this game specifically. With all DLC shipped as of December 21, 2017, no outstanding commitments, and no developer statements suggesting further content is planned for this title, the game is complete. It shipped as a fully realized horror experience and its post-launch content cycle — cosmetic DLC only — concluded within the first four months of release.
