Circle Empires

Circle Empires launched on August 8, 2018 and received its one paid DLC, Apex Monsters, on October 25, 2018. The second and final store item, the official soundtrack, was released on April 30, 2020. Both DLCs are fully released with nothing remaining unreleased. The developer's post-launch activity for this specific game has wound down naturally over the years. The studio's focus shifted first to Circle Empires Rivals (a standalone sequel released April 15, 2020), then to Circle Empires Tactics (released April 7, 2022), and most recently to Circle Empires 2, which launched on February 10, 2026. The February 2026 announcement explicitly frames Circle Empires 2 as "the next chapter of the Circle Empires series," and the November 2024 announcement of that sequel describes it as building on what the original made special — a clear signal that active development energy has moved to the new title rather than continuing with the original game. The last developer communication directed at the original Circle Empires game was years ago. All DLC has shipped, no new content has been announced for this title, and the developer's own messaging positions Circle Empires 2 as the series' future. The original game is complete as a product.
