Evaluation
Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ launched on October 27, 2014 and received a solid run of post-launch content through late 2015. Major updates included the Deep Freeze Add-on (April 16, 2015), the Australium free update (June 8, 2015), the Death Gamble Update (October 28, 2015), and the Organic Matters free update alongside the Rescue Team Add-on (both November 24, 2015). A balance patch followed in December 2015, and the final patch — a bug fix release — landed on April 26, 2016. A digital artbook was added to the store in October 2017 and the original soundtrack in June 2020, but neither represents new game content.
All seven DLC entries are marked as released, and no new game content has been announced or shipped since April 2016. Developer communications after that point have focused entirely on AMPLITUDE Studios' other titles — most notably ENDLESS™ Dungeon, a separate spiritual successor game announced in December 2020 and released in 2023. The January 2023 news post referencing Dungeon of the ENDLESS gave away the base game for free as a promotional giveaway, but made no mention of any new content for it.
The developer has not issued an explicit "final update" statement, but the content record is clear: no new game content has been delivered or announced in over a decade, and all DLC has shipped. The game launched as a complete product with a defined post-launch content cycle that concluded in 2016.
Evidence
Patch 1.1.5 released with bug fixes — the last developer communication specifically about Dungeon of the ENDLESS game updates.
Organic Matters free update and Rescue Team paid add-on both launched, representing the last major content additions to the game.

About this game

A few hundred condemned criminals were being shipped to the Auriga system on board the prison hulk “Success”. While this was presented as a chance to earn back their place in society by working hard for the common good, they understood that in fact they would be slave labour, sent to colonize an unexplored planet. All they knew about Auriga Prime was what the probes told them: it had water, temperate zones, plant life, and plenty of metals in the crust.

In fact, the planet Auriga once hosted a major settlement of the galaxy-travelling ancestors known as the Endless. In addition, the planet was still orbited by a functioning (and well cloaked) defensive system, which sprang eagerly to life upon the arrival of the Success. Within a few minutes, the ship was nothing but a few large chunks of metal falling toward the planet.

Every set of holding cells also functioned as an escape pod, so the ship let itself disintegrate and the surviving prisoners fell bruised but (temporarily) alive and (momentarily) safe to the planet below. Safe, that is, until they realized that they had crashed through some sort of facility of the Endless, down to a sub-basement so deep and ancient it might as well be called a dungeon…
