Clone Drone in the Danger Zone launched out of Early Access on July 27, 2021 and has been receiving consistent major content updates ever since. The post-launch update history includes: the Attack of the Enemy Zombies Update (October 2023), the Ride or Die Update (December 15, 2025 — described by the developer as their biggest content update in a long time), the Team Battle Update (March 26, 2026), and the Night Mode Update (July 8, 2026), which added new multiplayer maps, free cosmetic skins, new level editor tools, and three new cosmetic Supporter Pack DLCs.
Crucially, the July 8, 2026 Night Mode Update post explicitly previews what's coming next: a 10th Anniversary Update planned for later in 2026, featuring a new anniversary challenge, a new Supporter Pack with warriors from across the galaxy, and a brand new mech. The developer (Erik, creative director) also confirmed in a June 22, 2026 devlog that a mobile port and a new game called Project Orca are in development alongside ongoing Danger Zone updates.
All three DLCs currently listed on the store (Night Mode Pack, Fast Lane Pack, Horse Power Pack) were released on July 8, 2026 as part of the Night Mode Update. However, the developer has explicitly announced additional content — specifically the 10th Anniversary Update with new content items — meaning more is on the way beyond what has already shipped.

- Epic Voxel Dismemberment: In addition to looking cool, the ability to cut off body parts is central to the gameplay. Jumping on one leg is a common occurrence. Large enemies need to be cut down to size before a fatal blow can be delivered.
- Sharp Sword Combat: Combat is fast and intense, putting great emphasis on movement, timing and positioning. You are never safe, as any blow can instantly kill or dismember.
- Entertaining Commentary: Commentatron and Analysis-Bot provide a play-by-play of your performance and react to your activities.
- Upgrade your robot: jetpack, bow, kicking, deflection, clones, armor, FIRE BREATH 🔥🔥🔥.
- Terrifying robotic enemies that actually get pretty hard! Sword robots, bow robots, Spidertron 5000, Spidertron 6000, gigantic hammer bots. So many things to dismember.
- Level Editor: Make custom levels and challenges and share them with other humans! Explore the rich Workshop library of awesome human-built levels!
- Achievements! Unlock upgrades, emotes and multiplayer skins by achieving a rich variety of things!
