Evaluation
Clonizer launched on April 14, 2025 and received a flurry of updates in its first weeks: bug-fix and balance patches on April 15 and April 18, a larger patch (v1.0.4) on April 29 that also previewed upcoming content (new mission, new planet, controller support), a public beta branch on June 2, and the first named major update (v1.1.0) on June 7 adding a new planet (Rumbelia) and a new mission (Diplomacy). Steam Deck Verification was announced on June 26, 2025 — the last developer communication on record.
That gives the game three post-launch major content moments in roughly ten weeks (launch, v1.1.0 content drop, and the Steam Deck milestone), suggesting a fairly active early cadence. However, since June 26, 2025 — now over fifteen months ago as of October 2026 — there has been no developer communication of any kind. The v1.0.4 patch notes did flag planned future items (controller support, additional content), but those forward-looking notes are from April 2025, well before the v1.1.0 drop, and v1.1.0 plausibly delivered the promised new mission and planet. No post-v1.1.0 developer statement reaffirms further content plans.
The established cadence between major content releases was roughly ten weeks (launch to v1.1.0). Fifteen months of silence far exceeds that window — more than six times the observed interval. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no unresolved roadmap commitments visible after v1.1.0, and no developer statement indicating ongoing work. The pattern is consistent with a small two-person team that shipped their planned post-launch content and moved on, with no announcement of additional updates. The game appears to have reached its complete state with the v1.1.0 update and Steam Deck certification in late June 2025.
Evidence
Major update v1.1.0 shipped, adding a new planet (Rumbelia) and a new mission (Diplomacy) — the items previously flagged as upcoming in April 2025 patch notes.
Clonizer officially launched on April 14, 2025, described as the culmination of a project started in 2019 by a two-person core team.
