For The Warp launched into full release on March 28, 2022 after a period in Early Access. The developer, Massive Galaxy Studios, has continued supporting the game with a series of updates over the years. The most significant recent milestone was the release of the Void Echoes DLC on April 15, 2026 — the game's first paid expansion — which added two new ships, new enemies, a new boss, over 15 new cards, and a full rebalance of the base game. This was followed by patch 1.1.8 on April 30, 2026, which included quality-of-life improvements and a framework update. In that same patch post, the developer explicitly stated: "Expect more QOL updates in the next few months." It's worth noting that in November 2024, the developer mentioned in a surprise ship update that "there are no more planned updates after these ones," but then went on to announce the Void Echoes DLC just a year later (November 2025), and shipped it in April 2026. That earlier statement was superseded by subsequent actions and announcements. The developer also noted at the time of the DLC launch that "buying this DLC also helps us to keep supporting the game with future updates," signaling ongoing commitment to the game. The developer has maintained an active post-launch update cadence spanning from 2022 through April 2026, with major content drops including Update 1.1 (February 2023), the surprise Arcane ship update (November 2024), and now the Void Echoes DLC (April 2026). With a confirmed promise of further QOL updates and the very recent DLC release, the game remains actively supported.
