LONESTAR launched its 1.0 version on April 3, 2025, graduating from Early Access after more than a year of development. At launch, the developers stated: "Even after 1.0, we will continue refining the game, not just in terms of balance, but also by adding new content whenever inspiration strikes." They followed through on this: a major crossover with Into the Breach shipped on June 27, 2025, bringing a new pilot, exclusive parts, a new boss battle, and hidden events. A large-scale balance patch arrived on July 31, 2025. Then on March 3, 2026, the developers returned with another update adding a brand-new pilot (R3SET), a new elite enemy, and new talents — noting in the post that "we came up with many new ideas for LONESTAR" during breaks from their next game. This establishes a clear pattern of ongoing content additions after the 1.0 release. The studio also celebrated passing 100,000 copies sold in May 2025 and confirmed the game's commercial success is sustaining the studio. There are no announcements of specific future content, but the developer's track record and explicit statements indicate the game continues to receive new content.
