College Craze is an Early Access adult dating simulation developed solo by Pretty Ink. The game has been releasing content in numbered chapters since its August 2022 launch. The developer shipped Chapter 6 in May 2023 and Chapter 7 in May 2024. In a candid January 2024 developer update, Pretty Ink disclosed that major personal life upheavals had significantly slowed the pace of development and that they could no longer commit to a release schedule. In that same post, they announced that Chapter 8 will be the game's final chapter — so one more major content release is still planned before the game reaches its 1.0 conclusion. The most recent developer communication on Steam is from March 9, 2026, which reported a word count of 137,864 and discussed community activities, postcard perks, and Patreon content — but did not include any specific progress update on Chapter 8 or indicate when it might be released. Chapter 7 shipped in May 2024, meaning it has been more than two years without a major content update. Given the developer's own disclosure of a significantly slower pace and the absence of any Chapter 8 progress reports, it is unclear how far along the final chapter is or when it will arrive. The game remains purchasable on Steam in Early Access. The developer has not indicated that development has stopped or been abandoned — they reaffirmed their intent to finish the game — but the combination of a prolonged silence on Chapter 8 progress and the previously disclosed development slowdown makes the timeline genuinely uncertain.
