Comanche entered Early Access on March 12, 2020 and received a steady stream of updates throughout its Early Access period — adding singleplayer campaign missions, the new Conflicts game mode, multiplayer improvements, and various quality-of-life changes. On August 26, 2021, NUKKLEAR officially released the game out of Early Access, describing it as "in its full strength now" and thanking players for their feedback during Early Access. The launch out of Early Access brought seven new Conflicts missions, new Comanche variants, new enemy types, and localization in eight languages. The studio framed this as the completion of the game's development journey. No DLC, expansions, roadmap items, or future content announcements have been made since the August 26, 2021 full release. The last developer communication was the August 26, 2021 launch post, and there have been no posts indicating further content is planned. The game launched as a finished product on that date.

Fight in the evolving singleplayer campaign and make a difference in a conflict of global proportions. After the Iran-US RQ170 incident, in which a UAV was hacked and captured through cyber warfare, the US army secretly revived the development of the RAH-66 helicopter program for special operations. The goal was to develop a highly maneuverable and advanced stealth war machine capable of deploy low-range drones operating in high-risk environments.
The program was a total success, and the Comanche special units seemed unstoppable in their missions. But then, when the blueprints leaked through a whistleblower website, every group, and power, who could afford it, built and modified the Comanche for their purposes. With that, a new era of helicopter warfare had begun.
