Cosmochoria launched into full 1.0 release on April 27, 2015, graduating from Early Access. The developer, Nate Schmold, continued to polish the game post-launch with balance patches, new achievements, and language localization support through 2016. By November 2015, the developer noted in a patch post that he was now working on a brand new, yet-to-be-revealed game alongside Cosmochoria maintenance — indicating development focus had shifted. In May 2016, that new project was formally announced as "Slayaway Camp," confirming the developer had moved on. The final recorded update was a technical engine upgrade on August 24, 2016 (build 1.19), which updated the underlying runtime for compatibility improvements. No further updates, roadmaps, or content announcements have been made since that date. The developer made no promises of future content after August 2016, and there are no unreleased DLC listings on the store. Cosmochoria launched as a complete, story-driven arcade game (with a defined ending and credits), and all post-launch activity consisted of polish and maintenance rather than new content additions. The game is complete.

Cosmochoria is a love letter to old-school action / arcade games like Asteroids, Sinistar, and Mario Bros. Cosmochoria is a mesmerizing way to kill hours: hopping between planets, unraveling forgotten mysteries, killing aliens & giant space monsters and planting mysterious seeds to sprout new life across a long-barren galaxy.
You play the role of a tiny pink naked cosmonaut who 'finds himself' in a distant galaxy. While no story is immediately apparent, consecutive games will begin to reveal some of the deeper mysteries surrounding the universe around you.
You are free to roam the galaxy in search of these secrets, or to remain on a single planet, establishing a home base to fight aliens and tend to your galactic garden.
