Evaluation

Creepy Shift: House For Sale launched on Steam on April 14, 2025 as the second game in the Creepy Shift series. After launch, the developer shipped a feature patch on May 27, 2025 adding new mechanics, then a substantial Halloween patch on October 30, 2025 that replaced AI-generated voice acting with professional recordings, added cloud saves, six new achievements, and performance improvements. A further stability and UI patch followed on April 22, 2026. The game also launched on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on June 12, 2026. The previous evaluation flagged content_planned based on a June 12, 2026 post stating the team was "working on bringing you the third installment soon." However, the third installment — Creepy Shift: Uncle Joe's Motel — had already launched on March 4, 2026, more than three months before that console announcement post. The June post's reference to "the third installment" was almost certainly referring to Uncle Joe's Motel being brought to consoles (which was announced on August 21, 2026 as having launched on PS5 and Xbox). There is no outstanding developer commitment specifically tied to House For Sale — the announced future titles (Creepy Shift: Deer Farm and Creepy Shift: Online) are separate, standalone games in the series, not DLC or expansions for this game. The developer has not announced any additional content planned for House For Sale itself. The August 21, 2026 post does note "there's still more creepy stuff cooking in the background," but this is a general series-level tease, not a commitment to new content for House For Sale specifically. The game itself appears complete, with post-launch patches having addressed community feedback. The most recent developer communication of any kind was August 21, 2026.

About this game

Your job is simple, well-paid, and pretty chill. You've got a full pack of smokes, a good buddy on speed dial, and your favorite playlist on cassette.

You've got a task: pack up the Kowalskis’ belongings, clean the place, and do a few repairs. The house has to be ready for sale, so you’ll need to make sure there are no skeletons in the closet — literally.

The downsides? Sure, but nothing major...
The previous family is missing. Strange weather phenomena are common in the area. You’ll have to solve a series of grim puzzles left behind by the deranged dad — and follow a few weird rules to make sure nothing... interrupts your work.

Just press play and enter the world of dusty VHS horrors — inspired by an original creepypasta and built around the 'rules to follow' trope.
