Crowntakers launched on November 7, 2014 and received steady post-launch support through mid-2015. The developer shipped several patches — including a substantial balance and content patch (1.1) in December 2014, and a larger feature patch (1.2) in June 2015 — alongside one major DLC expansion, "Undead Undertakings," which released on June 10, 2015. That DLC introduced a new mercenary class, a new environment (the Necropolis), new enemies, new items, and new achievements. It is the only DLC ever listed for the game, and it has been fully released. No further DLC, expansions, roadmaps, or content announcements have been made at any point since June 2015. The developer's last news post was in June 2015, and there has been no communication of any kind in the more than ten years since. The game launched as a complete product and received one expansion cycle before going quiet; all announced and released content has shipped.
