Evaluation
CRUMB Circuit Simulator launched on November 18, 2022 as a solo-developed 3D circuit simulator. Since then, the developer has been working on a massive upgrade called CRUMB Advanced (v2.0) — effectively a ground-up rebuild — which will be delivered as a free update to all existing owners.
On September 15, 2026, the developer posted a milestone update celebrating 100,000 copies sold and explicitly stated: "I'm nowhere near done. Advanced v2.0 is the biggest thing I've ever built, and I can't wait to bring it to every one of you. Keep your eyes peeled for news in the near future." This is the clearest possible developer statement that significant content is still coming.
Three days earlier, on September 12, 2026, the developer published a detailed feature overview of CRUMB Advanced, confirming it will launch under a new Steam store page and that existing owners will automatically receive it for free. The feature list includes megahertz-level simulation speeds, fully emulated microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi), rigidbody and environmental physics for robot building, Bluetooth and WiFi simulation, real hardware connectivity, a built-in IDE, FFT analysis, an oscilloscope, and cross-platform support for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Throughout July and August 2026, the developer posted a series of dev diary updates demonstrating working features: a redesigned wiring and prototyping system (July 17), SPI and I2C protocol support with an improved Arduino implementation (July 13), mechanical and physical component simulation (July 23), DOOM running within the simulator with I2S audio (August 5), and real-world hardware connectivity including flashing a physical Arduino from within the sim (August 12). These are working demonstrations, not concept sketches.
The developer has been consistently communicative and development momentum is clearly strong. No release date has been announced for CRUMB Advanced, but the developer's own words confirm it is coming and that the project is far from finished.

About this game

Interactive and immersive learning
CRUMB offers an easy to use and interactive introduction to electronic circuitry. Fully realised in 3D, you can construct prototype circuits as you would at the workbench without the risk of terminal component failure or the hassle of ordering individual components. A broad selection of parts and features offers an insight into many different areas of modern electronics
Large catalogue of components
CRUMB has a varied selection of components, even at this early stage in its development. There are no limits to what circuits you can create. CRUMB includes several built-in examples which showcase some of the abilities of CRUMB. This list below highlights some of the included components- Passives such as Resistors, Capacitors and Inductors
- Tactile, slide and DIP switches
- Semiconductors such as Diodes, BJT Transistors, MOSFETs and Silicon Controlled Rectifiers
- LEDS, Transducers, Seven Segment displays
- LCD and TFT displays
- DC Power and Signal Generators
- Large selection of Integrated Circuits ranging from Basic to Complex Logic, Timers, Counters, Memory, EEPROM and Op Amps
- Fully programmable Microcontroller
Advanced features
The latest update has expanded some of the special features included with CRUMBCode Editor
The built-in Code Editor has been expanded to allow the viewing and editing of the Source Files that I have written for the programmable Microcontroller included in CRUMB

Hex Editor
This is an EEPROM available to use which can be programmed via circuitry (see built-in example) or values can be entered manually with the built-in hex editor

Scope Analysis
Up to 4 components can be added to the built-in scope, allowing you to view the intricacies of your circuit

Visualisation
CRUMB offers a set of different visualisations tools. You can view current and voltages in the wires, logic output at the pins of various components, highlight the pin labels and anodes of polarized components and switch off the scene lighting for dark mode
