Cthulhu Saves Christmas launched on December 23, 2019 as a complete, self-contained JRPG estimated at 4–5 hours per playthrough. After launch, the developer shipped two post-release updates: a gameplay rebalance and Steam trading cards on February 12, 2020, followed by a more substantial New Game+ mode on October 28, 2020 — the latter also brought console ports and physical editions via Limited Run Games. No further updates have been posted since October 28, 2020, and the developer has made no announcements of additional content. The only DLC ever listed is the soundtrack, which released alongside the game. Given the game's nature as a short, story-driven indie RPG and the absence of any roadmap, announced future content, or developer communication since October 28, 2020, the game appears to be a fully complete package.
