Epic Battle Fantasy 4 originally launched on February 25, 2014 as a complete turn-based RPG. Over the years, the developer (Matt Roszak) has returned to the game with substantial quality-of-life updates rather than story expansions or new content cycles. The most significant post-launch update was Version 3, released on February 25, 2024 to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary. This update added widescreen support, new weapons, new summons, new achievements, dialogue additions, and numerous UI improvements — all derived from work done on a mobile port.
