CULT VS GAL launched on May 3, 2024 and received a handful of bug fix and feature patches in its first weeks, including a notable update on June 16, 2024 that added censorship style options and translation fixes. The only DLC — the soundtrack — released on the same day as the game itself and is the sole paid add-on.
After that initial post-launch polish period, the developer shifted focus entirely to a new project. On March 11, 2026, they released a separate game called GAL VS VILLAGE, and on June 14, 2026, they teased yet another new title ("Satsubatsu Succubus") with a demo on itch.io. There have been no patches, announcements, or updates to CULT VS GAL itself since June 2024. The developer has made no statements about additional content, expansions, or future updates for this game. The Nintendo Switch port announced in June 2025 added a new game mode and episode, but that appears to have concluded the game's content additions.

The oppressed people of the devastated society believe in the apocalypse, and soon a huge religious organization rises up.
People were kidnapped by the organization and disappeared one by one.
The empire sent its own troops to the organization, but they were all destroyed.
The imperial army, unable to devote its strength to the country due to the worsening war situation with neighboring countries,

CULT VS GAL is an ultra old-school, yet high-tempo, user-friendly FPS.
Take control of the "Hell Smasher Saki" and destroy the cult that threatens the empire!
This is a 4-episode, 16+ map, old school FPS.
The simplified maps do not interfere with your fighting instincts and allow you to just focus on fighting the cult.

When you cut off a head, Saki's tension rises and she becomes invincible for a moment.
Close combat is dangerous, but daring to charge in and hunt for the head is one of the strategies.
You can unleash a melee attack that can pop a cult's head off in an instant.
