HAZAMA_QUEEN launched on April 20, 2023 as a high-speed roguelite FPS. Shortly after launch, the developer was actively patching the game — adding weapons, balancing content, fixing bugs, and adding a new vocal ending theme (shipped July 29, 2023). In July 2023 the developer teased "new content," which was fulfilled by that same ending theme update.
On April 29, 2023 — just nine days after launch — the developer posted that they were already shifting focus to their next project (CULT_VS_GAL), stating that HAZAMA_QUEEN would "mainly be bug fixes" going forward. This was an early signal that active content development was winding down.
By early 2024, the developer was dealing with a game engine update that broke the project, and spent several months repairing it while simultaneously building their new game. A beta patch released in April 2024 focused on stability and Ukrainian language support, not new content. Bug fix patches followed into May 2024.
The most recent developer communication, on March 14, 2025, was a post announcing the removal of the archive system due to an unfixable bug — a maintenance decision rather than a content addition. No new content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists (the only DLC is the soundtrack, released at launch on April 20, 2023), and the developer has explicitly stated their focus has moved to a new title. The last meaningful content addition was the vocal ending theme on July 29, 2023. The game launched as a complete package and received a small burst of post-launch additions before the developer moved on.
