Evaluation
Damned Daniel launched on November 30, 2018 as a short story-driven RPG adventure. Following launch, the developer released minor bug fixes in December 2018 and January 2019, then shipped a free content update on June 16, 2019 that added new NPCs, choice-based decisions, items, and interactable world objects. That same post mentioned a sequel ("Damned Daniel's second chapter") was in the works. However, a separate announcement from May 24, 2019 shows the developer (operating under the name Crankage Games) was already announcing an entirely different game — "Quiver Dick's Epic Book of Fairy Fails" — suggesting studio focus had shifted. There have been no further posts about Damned Daniel or its sequel since June 2019, now over six years ago. No sequel has appeared on Steam, no roadmap or release window was ever provided for it, and the store listing contains no unreleased DLC. The June 2019 content update appears to be the last substantive work done on the game. Given the complete absence of developer communication since June 16, 2019 and no concrete sequel announcement beyond a passing mention, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
Evidence
Developer shipped a free content update adding NPCs, choice mechanics, new items, and interactable world objects. Also mentioned that a sequel ('second chapter') was in development.
Developer mentioned a sequel to Damned Daniel was being worked on, but gave no release window or concrete details. This is the last official post about the game.
