Evaluation

Data Hacker: Reboot launched on April 17, 2015. In the launch announcement, the developer mentioned ideas for free DLC packs and hinted at a sequel, but these were aspirational comments rather than concrete commitments. Post-launch, the developer shipped a soundtrack DLC on April 30, 2015 and an art book/game guide DLC on June 5, 2015. The last substantive game update was a feature patch on June 13, 2015 (Patch 1.0.8), which added a skill toggle system. All listed DLC has been released. After mid-2015, New Reality Games shifted focus entirely to other projects — most notably Atonement 2: Ruptured by Despair (released October 2016) and State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem (released March 2017). There have been no updates, announcements, or developer communications relating to Data Hacker: Reboot since June 2015, and no further content was ever delivered beyond what shipped in those first two months. The game's content is complete as it stands.
