Dawn of the Monsters launched on March 15, 2022 as a complete beat-'em-up with four playable characters and 35+ missions. In November 2022, the developer announced DLC was coming in 2023, including a community-voted new playable character. That DLC — the Arcade Edition — shipped on August 24, 2023, adding the new character Meteor Temujin, an Arcade Mode, leaderboards, additional skins, and a free update with Trials, New Game+ modes, and Japanese voice acting. This was the one DLC listed for the game, and it has been released. The note in the Arcade Edition DLC post about glimpsing "the future of DotM" appears to have been general flavor text rather than a specific promise, as no subsequent content announcements were ever made. The developer's most recent Dawn of the Monsters-related post dates to August 24, 2023 — the DLC launch itself. Posts from early 2024 are about Contra: Operation Galuga, a separate 13AM Games title. With the single announced DLC shipped, no further content announced, and developer communications on this game having gone quiet since August 24, 2023, the game appears content-complete as of the Arcade Edition release.
