Mayhem Brawler

Mayhem Brawler launched on August 19, 2021 and received three major post-launch updates over its first two years: the Air Supremacy update (November 23, 2021), the Wolfpack update adding the She Wolf character and new modes (February 17, 2022), and finally the Witchcraft update (May 23, 2023), which added the Alley Witch character and Boss Mayhem mode. The developer was explicit in both their pre-release diary (March 17, 2023) and the Witchcraft update notes themselves (May 23, 2023) that this was the final major update for the game. In their own words: "Our latest and last major update for Mayhem Brawler is here" and "Mayhem Brawler was released a little more than one year ago and we finally feel it is complete and reached its full potential." They confirmed their entire team would shift focus to the sequel, Mayhem Brawler II: Best of Both Worlds. Since then, developer activity on this game has been limited to a single maintenance patch on March 28, 2025, addressing minor bugs following a Steam Daily Deal promotion — consistent with a completed title receiving occasional compatibility upkeep, not new content development. The developer's energy has clearly moved to the sequel, which launched a Kickstarter campaign in February 2025 and has a Steam demo available. The only DLC listed is the original soundtrack, released September 30, 2021. No additional DLC has been announced or listed as unreleased. The game is complete as of the Witchcraft update on May 23, 2023.
