Day of the Shell

Day of the Shell launched on July 29, 2025. In the weeks following launch, Duper Games was actively patching the game — shipping balance and bug fixes (August 7–8, 2025), then a more substantial Update 1.1 on September 24, 2025 that added three new weapons, elite enemies, and additional maps. A final bug fix patch followed on December 9, 2025. However, on May 4, 2026, the developer posted an announcement unveiling their next game — Near Mint — a separate roguelike deckbuilder with a playable demo already live. This is the most recent communication from Duper Games, and it is focused entirely on the new title rather than any upcoming Day of the Shell content. No roadmap, future DLC, or additional update plans for Day of the Shell have been announced. The single DLC — a Supporter Pack released August 1, 2025 — is cosmetic/supporting in nature and has already shipped. No unreleased DLC exists in the store listing. The post-launch update activity established only a modest pattern: one feature update (v1.1 in September 2025) and maintenance patches through December 2025, with no further content activity since. The developer's attention has visibly shifted to Near Mint. There is no outstanding commitment to additional Day of the Shell content, and the silence since December 2025 — combined with the pivot to a new game — suggests the game has reached the end of its active update cycle. It launched as a complete product and received one round of meaningful post-launch content additions before development wound down.
