Dead Seater

Dead Seater is a small, free indie horror game released on April 2, 2021 by Zeekerss. The developer was explicit and consistent about their intentions from the start: the launch-day post on April 3, 2021 described it as "quite a small side-project" with few updates expected, and the April 7, 2021 patch note stated it would "likely be the last update for Dead Seater." The developer followed up with one final optimization patch on April 13, 2021, noting it "hopefully should be the last update needed." A separate reflective post on April 8, 2021 framed the game as a completed experiment, with the developer summarizing lessons learned and explicitly stating "this is the last time I will ever make a game which depends solely on mechanical difficulty." There has been no developer communication since April 13, 2021. The game launched as a finished, self-contained product — a deliberate small-scale project the developer explicitly concluded. No DLC, season passes, or future content of any kind was ever announced.
